PAZ MEETS PASSENGERS, WOMEN IN DRIVE FOR SAFETY

Non-governmentl organization  Action Aid has joined hand with Passengers Association of Zimbabwe to spread message about passenger rights and passenger insurance.

PAZ president Tafadzwa Goliati  has in recent weeks been on an outreach programme in various parts of the city and in churches sreading the message.

At Unit C & Unit K bus terminus  vending he has addressed women vendors, touts  & drivers. At Unit C

“Stop Violence against women in public transport” has been his message.

Goliat has also held One on one with passengers discussing about if they know their rights as passengers and touching on violence against women in public transport, also women rights and issue of compensation in the event of an accidents.

“Most the women didn’t know much about passengers rights and their rights.  Now they are well informed we get them our flyers,” Goliat said.

“Passengers Association of Zimbabwe is an implementing partners to Action Aid so we are working together  on this project. We had been addressing congregates in various churches  and residents in Chitungwiza.”
