No regrets: Couples who swapped spouses say they’re happy in their new relationships

– Christopher Bwire and Kevin Baraza switched wives in 2019 over destabilised marriages

– Christopher married Kevin’s ex-wife Lilian while Kevin, in turn, married Immaculate who was previously married to Christopher

– The two couples confirmed they were happier than ever since the bizarre exchange that grabbed headlines

Busia couples who became an internet sensation in 2019 after swapping spouses in search of happiness have indeed confirmed they found what they were looking for.

Christopher Bwire, now married to Lilian Weta have been together for more than a year after his ex-wife Immaculate Nekesa, got married to Lilian’s ex-husband Kevin Barasa in 2019.

Speaking to NTV, Christopher and his now wife of one year had smiles written all over their faces signifying the bliss they have been having together after the unforgettable swap. “Even when you look at me before (married to the other wife) I looked old but now I look like a young man,” an elated Christopher said.

“I am a very happy woman, my children and myself live a good life,” Lilian said.

The expectant couple were quick to reiterate that they do not regret being together and are enjoying every minute of it.

Kevin and Immaculate

In a nearby village, the story is no different for their ex-spouses Kevin and Immaculate whose marriage contradicts the popular saying, marriage is not a bed of roses, because theirs is.

“Some of the actions that this wife does for me, my other wife did not do them for me,” a smiley Kevin said. The bizarre decision to exchange wives in September 2019 was influenced by believable rumours that the men were having illicit affairs with each other’s women.

Interestingly, the four of them have kept contact for the sake of their children whom they see once a month at the Busia Children’s Department.

Lilian, a mother of three, while Immaculate Wekesa, 29, has two children from her previous union.

The two couples met after one of the women raised issues over the switch. It is after the meeting that both parties peacefully agreed to live the way they were in a move that made headlines over a year ago. – Tuko.com
