“I Did Not Join Zanu PF” – Comic Pastor*

Comedian and social media personality Comic Pastor, real nameProsper Ngomashi, has responded to allegations by social media users that he has joined politics.

This comes after Ngomashi shared some pictures with one of President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s sons Collins.

The pictures received a mixed reaction on Facebook with some people advising the comedian that he should “stick to his lane.”

A Facebook page which has the username Edhasmyhope took to its platform and wrote:

Patati Patata
Meet Comic Pastor Prosper Ngomashi with one of the twins Collins Mnangagwa.
Zanu PF ihomwe, thank you Comic Pastor for joining vatongi.
Ngomashi then responded through his Facebook page The Comic Pastor And Associates:

I only took a photo with Collins I did not join anything.
Ngomashi who rose to fame through comedy last year revealed that his journey to success was not all rosy as he started out as a mere cattle herder.

I an interview with The Herald, Ngomashi said when he finished his Ordinary levels he decided to go to Botswana to look for greener pastures and got a job as a cattle herder.

Ngomashi said even though he passed his Ordinary levels with 5 passes he could not proceed further since the subjects he passed could not land him a combination at Advanced level.

According to Comic Pastor, life as a cattle herder in Botswana was not paying off as he initially thought, so he decided to relocate to South Africa where he worked for a year as a security guard.

He later worked at a fabric shop for 7 years where he rose from being a security guard to a sales manager.

I started filming myself with my mobile phone and sharing on social media. I became viral and suddenly now I am famous. *iharare*
